Menakao have been making chocolate in Madagascar for the European market since 2010. We really like that Menakao is made by the Madagascans using the finest local Criollo beans. Madagascan cocoa is one of the most palatable flavours with its red berry notes and balanced taste. In 2012 they received Gold at the Great Taste Awards for their Combava Pink Pepper bar and also for their Seasalt & Cocoa Nibs bar. The following year the 63% Seasalt Cocoa Nibs won Bronze at the Chocolate Awards.
