Krak's Madagascar bar, 70% dark chocolate.
Unlike the majority of Madagascan cocoa, which comes from the plantations owned by Akessons, the beans used by Krak for this bar come from the Mava Se plantation, specifically the Ottange Farm. Most cocoa beans produced at the Mava Se plantation are kept in-house, not much is sold - Krak is one of the few chocolatiers lucky enough to be able to work with these beans. Mava Se earned cocoa of excellence accreditation in 2017.
You can expect the usual fruity notes typical of Madagascar chocolate, but the overall flavour profile may differ slightly from other Madagascan chocolates due to the different plantation of origin.
Won a silver award from the Academy of Chocolate in 2020.
